The Free Visibility Audit
How we find what your website is hiding.
Your website speaks three languages — to humans, to search engines, and now to AI. Most websites are fluent in one, broken in another, and silent in the third. Our free visibility audit listens to all three, then hands you the receipts.
The Process
Six steps. One report. Zero phone calls.
From the moment a URL is submitted, our crawler is already listening. Each step below runs automatically — no consultants, no scheduling, no forty-page intake forms. The whole sequence completes in roughly sixty seconds.
A floating tab. Five fields. One click.
The audit begins where most marketing tools end — at the front door of your website. A discreet "Free Visibility Audit" tab lives on the edge of the page, waiting. Visitors expand it, fill in name, email, phone, and the URL they want scanned, then submit.
No account creation. No credit card. No "we'll be in touch within 48 hours." The form is the entire onboarding.
The crawler walks the whole house.
Most "free audits" check one page. Ours doesn't. The crawler starts at the homepage, parses the main navigation, and walks every link a real visitor would follow — up to twenty pages deep across the entire site.
It respects robots.txt. It identifies itself politely. It pulls every page's HTML, parses every meta tag, every heading, every image, every script reference — and queues them for analysis.

Each captured page is run through four parallel analyses. SEO covers the classics — titles, meta descriptions, headings, alt tags, canonicals, link profile. AEO probes structured data, FAQs, and featured-snippet readiness. AIO evaluates content depth, originality, and how legible your site is to large language models. Performance measures weight, mobile readiness, and render-blocking resources.
Every check returns a weighted score. Every score rolls up into a category. Every category contributes to the overall verdict.

Before the PDF is built, the auditor reads the target site's CSS and meta tags to detect its primary brand colour. The cover page, dividers, headers, and accents are all recoloured to match — so the report feels like an extension of your brand, not a generic template.
The output is a polished, multi-section PDF: an executive summary with category scores, an issue index, and one full page per audited URL with a per-page breakdown of every check.
MacrocosmSEO82AEO54AIO71PERF38Two inboxes. Zero waiting.
The finished report doesn't sit in a dashboard waiting to be downloaded. It's emailed directly — the visitor receives it in their inbox, and a notification with the same PDF lands in the Macrocosm inbox at the same moment.
For the visitor, that means an instant deliverable. For Macrocosm, it means a qualified lead with full contact details and a clear picture of what their website needs.

FAQ
Common questions.
A website visibility audit is a structured review of how easily your website can be found, understood, and surfaced by three audiences: search engines (Google, Bing), answer engines (featured snippets, voice assistants), and AI models (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude). Macrocosm's free audit runs more than thirty automated checks across all three layers and returns a PDF report within sixty seconds.
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is the traditional discipline of helping search engines rank your pages — covering title tags, meta descriptions, headings, links, and crawlability.
AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) structures your content so it can be extracted as a direct answer for featured snippets, voice search, and "people also ask" boxes — typically through FAQ schema, HowTo markup, and concise answer paragraphs.
AIO (AI Optimisation) is the newest layer: making your content legible to large language models so they cite, quote, and recommend your site when users ask AI tools for help. It rewards content depth, originality, semantic HTML, and clear entity signals.
Most audits complete in under sixty seconds from the moment the form is submitted. Larger sites with twenty pages of dense content may take up to ninety seconds. The PDF report is then emailed automatically — no waiting, no dashboard to log in to.
The crawler scans up to twenty pages per audit, prioritising the URLs in your main navigation first. It then follows internal links to depth, deliberately skipping cart, checkout, terms, and privacy pages so the audit budget is spent on the content that actually drives discovery.
Yes — completely free, no credit card, no trial, no hidden charges. We provide it because most websites have meaningful issues we can identify in seconds, and a clear report is the most honest way to start a conversation about what we could fix together.
The report includes a cover page with overall scores for SEO, AEO, AIO, and Performance; an executive summary highlighting the most important issues; a prioritised list of recommendations; and one full page per audited URL showing every individual check with pass, warning, or fail status and a short remediation note.
No. The audit runs entirely from our end against the publicly accessible HTML of your site, exactly the way Google or an AI crawler would see it. Nothing to install, no scripts to add, no access to grant.
That's up to you. Many recipients use the report internally to brief their developer or marketing team. Others reach out to Macrocosm directly to discuss implementing the fixes — in which case we already have a remediation guide on our side and can move straight to scoping.
